Fair Housing & Advertising Standards

Version 2026-10-25.2 · effective 2026-10-25 · KONAH Media Group LLC

How KONAH writes about homes and neighborhoods, and how the Fair Housing checker and review queue work.

Our standard

Everything KONAH writes or helps you write (listing copy, captions, video scripts, ads, emails, KONAH Hello messages, AI Social posts) describes the property, its features and its location, never the kind of person who should live there or who is welcome.

KONAH serves everyone equally, whatever their race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, familial status, source of income or any other protected trait.

Words and phrases to avoid

The checker

The KONAH Fair Housing checker scans listing copy, AI Social posts, KONAH Hello scripts, scheduled social posts and marketing copy for common risky words and phrases, and suggests a better way to say it.

A flag means "look again", not "illegal". No flag doesn't mean a text is compliant. When in doubt, describe the home, not the people.

Review queue

Flagged content goes to KONAH Legal & Compliance for a second look, and anyone can send copy for review. Legal approves it or asks for changes with a note the author sees in their portal. Nothing is changed silently.

Photos and video

Photos and video show the property. Don't feature identifiable occupants, family photos or religious items in close-up in listing media.
