Land, lots and acreage · from the air

Land sells from the air. We fly it.

A field looks like a field from the road. From a few hundred feet up, buyers see the tree line, the road frontage, the slope, the creek and where a house could sit. We shoot land and lots with FAA Part 107 pilots, after an airspace check on every address.

How land is priced.

There's no separate land package. Most lots are shot as drone stills and a drone video clip. If there's a house, barn or outbuilding too, Photography + Drone covers it.

What we shoot on a lot.

  • Overhead views straight down, so buyers can match the shape of the parcel to the plat.
  • Angled views from each corner that show the frontage, the access and what's next door.
  • Context shots toward the nearest town, main road or water.
  • Ground photos of the entrance, the road and any existing structures.

We don't draw property lines on photos. If you want boundaries marked, send us a survey and tell us how you'd like them shown, and we'll talk it through first.

Big parcels and rural roads.

Larger acreage takes longer to walk and fly, and some farm roads are hard to find. Send us a pin, gate codes and where it's safe to park. If the parcel is very large, call us before you book so we can plan the flight time.

The airspace rings we check.

Before a drone shoot is confirmed, the address goes through the same airspace check our pilots and dispatch use. These are the rings it looks at. Drone is available in every one of them: our FAA Part 107 pilots get the authorization each flight needs, and still check B4UFLY and LAANC on the day of the flight.

Questions, answered.

Can you mark property lines on the drone photos?

Not by guessing. If you have a survey or plat and want lines shown, call us first and we'll talk through what we can do accurately.

What if the lot is near an airport?

We still fly it. Every address is checked when you book. Near Dulles, BWI, Manassas Regional or Quantico our pilot gets LAANC authorization first, usually in minutes, and inside the DC Flight Restricted Zone our Part 107 pilot files the FAA/TSA authorization before the flight, so book a few business days ahead.

Do I need to be there?

No. Send the address or a map pin, access notes and any gate codes.

How high do you fly over land?

Usually between 100 and 400 feet, staying under the 400-foot limit and any lower ceiling an authorization sets.
