Drone video · aerial clips and flyovers

Aerial video that shows where the home sits.

A slow rise over the roofline, a pass along the back of the lot, a reveal of the lake behind the house. Drone video gives buyers the setting in a few seconds, and it makes the opening shot of any listing film or reel.

What's in a drone clip.

A drone video clip runs 30 to 60 seconds, color-graded and ready to use on its own or cut into a longer video. Typical moves: a rising reveal from the front, an orbit around the house, a pull-back that shows the street and the lot, and a forward glide toward what's nearby, like water, a golf course or open land.

Drone video around DC.

Every address is checked when you book against the same airspace rings our dispatch uses. Inside the DC Flight Restricted Zone, a 15-mile ring around Reagan National in our check, our Part 107 pilot files the FAA/TSA authorization before the flight, so book those a few business days ahead. Near Dulles, BWI, Manassas Regional and Quantico the pilot gets LAANC authorization first, usually in minutes. On the day, the pilot runs B4UFLY and LAANC again before takeoff. See the full list on our drone page.

Stills, video or both?

Drone stills give you the hero photo for the MLS. Drone video gives you motion for reels and films. They're shot in the same flight, so most agents add both when the lot, the view or the setting is part of the story.

Questions, answered.

What does drone video cost?

A 30 to 60 second drone video clip is $100 as an add-on. Drone stills are $50.

What if the weather is bad?

Interior photos and video still happen on time. If wind or rain stops the flight, we reschedule the drone part at no cost.

Can you fly over the neighbors' homes?

We plan flights to keep the focus on your listing and fly within FAA rules. Neighbors' yards may appear in wide shots, but we don't hover over or film them on purpose.

Are your pilots licensed?

Yes. Every KONAH drone pilot holds an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate.
